Follow the link to read through the latest issue of Bohemia Journal, if you have not done so already that is. So, the first version of it that we put up got 50 reads and this version has gotten 270 reads. Altogether, about 320 reads. Woot.
Things Bohemia needs right now:
We are looking for a set designer for a photo shoot in our next issue. We can pay about 150 dollars but that must include the materials as well.
We are having a fundraiser on July 21 that is going to be fun and exciting. We need people to buy “booths” (though you must provide your own table.) Being a vendor at the festival costs 30 dollars and you can sell art, food, CDs, goods etc. This is the Facebook Invitation to this event. I am still rounding up writers and poets to speak as well. Payment for these booths needs to be done upfront and I prefer paypal. Bohemia always needs every last penny desperately.
If you have a significant piece of art that you would like to donate for a silent auction– that would also be appreciated. We are donating 10 percent of what we make at the silent auction to the Hunger Coalition which keeps the food banks full in Waco.
For the fundraiser, I am also looking for someone to print out the color flyers we have created. We need about 20 printed to post around town.
We need work for the Fall issue of the magazine. We need creative and beautiful work. See the submission guidelines. You must follow the guidelines for your work to be considered. We want stories about mermaids and sirens and nautical ghost stories. We also want stories about “journeys” (and that can be meant figuratively). Your journey may be by sea, by land, or just a journey of the imagination. WE are looking for art, photography, poetry, and short stories from people AROUND THE WORLD.
