“Cricket” by Marie Taylor

Early crickets now

Hungry grackles in the fall

Nature unbalanced

I hear you, insect

With your relentless chirping

Now where do you hide?

Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp (5)

Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp (7)

Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp (5)

Oh the humanity!

So many dead crickets here.

Oh the cricketity!
